Deal reached on bill to extend jobless aid
WASHINGTON – Lawmakers stated Thursday that they had concurred on legislation to extend expanded jobless benefits for the long-term unemployed through the end of the year. Laid-off workers also would continue to receive subsidies to purchase health insurance through the COBRA program.
